Thermal Spray Gun
Thermal Spray Gun is metalizing equipment that is used to provide a protective coating layer in the component surfaces and increase the life of components. To apply thermal spray coating metalizing wires are used. The metalizing wire prevents the components from oxidation. To providing a metalizing wire coating thermal spray guns are used. Thermal spray guns are available in various types as per the application arc spray gun and flame spray gun is used to melting the metalizing wire. In An arc spray gun working output is double as compared to the flame spray gun. In an arc spray gun electric power source is used to molten the feeding wire, and compressed air is used to impinge the molten metal on the surface of the substrate. In a flame spray gun to molten feed metal, oxygen is used with acetylene gas and compressed air is used to impinge molten metal on the component surface.
Thermal Spray Coating
In the Thermal Spray Coating process a wire or powder form of metal is melt and spray onto another metal surface for the purpose of creating a surface wear-resistant, adhesion, corrosion control, and restore dimensions. Zinc metalizing wire, aluminium metalizing wire, alloy metalizing wire, is used in the thermal spray gun. before applying thermal spray coatings blasting is required to clean and rough the surface and remove foreign particles from the component surface. For the blasting process sand blasting machine, shot blasting machine, sandblasting hopper used. For blasting abrasive shots, copper slag, abrasive garnet, steel shots, glass beads are used. In thermal spray, different sizes of metalizing wires are used. When the hardness of metalizing wire is high an electric arc spray gun is the best option. Different types of wires show application in different areas like oil-refinery equipment, chemical processing equipment, boats, marines, food storage tanks, towers, bridges, and many more.
