In an arc spray gun, compressed air is used to the atomized molten metal on the substrate surface. It is also called an Electric Arc Spray Gun or Twin Arc Spray Gun. Different types of wires and powders are used for coating as per the application.
HVOF stands for High-Velocity Oxy-Fuel. HVOF Gun is a thermal spray system using the combustion of gases or liquid for melting fed material. Combustion gases such as hydrogen and liquid fuel such as kerosene are used to melting the coating material. Combustion gas or liquid combined with oxygen and atomize within the combustion area under conditions that monitor the correct combustion mode and pressure required for coating.
In a zinc spray gun, zinc wire is used as a coating material. Zinc metalizing wire provides an anti-corrosive coating protecting the surface from corrosion. Compressed air is used in a zinc spray gun to the atomized molten metal on the component surface.
