Metalizing Gun Exporter

Metallizing gun is a mixture of thermal spray coating methods in which finely distributed metallic or nonmetallic elements are collected in a molten or semi-molten state to form a coating. The Metallizing gun film coating feeding element can be in the form of powder, ceramic rod, wire, or molten materials. Metalizing gun process is a method of heating and melting a feed material before accelerating it to a high velocity to strike the particles on the surface of the component. The main feature of all Metallizing gun coatings has lamellar grain structure which is resulting from the rapid solidification of small globule particles, flattened from striking a chilly surface at high velocities. The coating is made when many particles are deposited on each other.

1. Wire Flame Spray Metalizing Gun

Wire Flame spraying is a metalizing technique that uses an oxygen gas with acetylene gas as a heat source for melting the wire. Compressed air is used for atomizing and propelling the molten metal onto the workpiece. This metalizing wire method of flame spraying is known as a wire flame spray gun.

2. Powder Flame Spray Metalizing Gun

The powder flame spray metalizing gun method uses self-flux alloys in powder patterns and melts the metal with oxygen and acetylene gas spraying materials with the help of compressed air. Self-flux alloys involve alloys with a low melting time containing nickel and/or cobalt as the base metal, and boron and silicon as its fluxing materials. After the spraying molten metal coating reaches the specified thickness, forms an alloy layer with the substrate that provides high adhesiveness. The coating puts a solid layer of borides and carbide that combines excellent wear resistance. In addition to those features, the metalizing coating show outstanding resistance to corrosion of most chemical solutions, erosion and cavitation erosion, and hot hardness characteristics.

3. Electric Arc Wire Spray Metalizing Gun

In the electric arc spray metalizing gun method two wires of the material are used to provide thermal spray coating. Different types of power sources are used as per the hardness of the metalizing wire. Two-wire used as an anode and the other is the cathode and with supplying electric power an arc is generated to melt the feed material. In this to impinge molten metal compressed air is used. Arc spray gun provides a thick coating layer and high working output in the low time.

4. Plasma Arc Spray Metalizing Gun

The plasma arc spray metalizing gun method involves spraying a substrate with molten or semi-molten material to make a tough coating thick layers that protect against oxidization and corrosion wear caused by environmental and operative conditions. The plasma arc spray coatings are dense and powerful, creating a positive possibility for equipment protection and refinishing. Plasma arc spray gun coatings are applied to employ a high-temperature method that involves injecting fine coating material into a plasma flame. The metalizing wire is rapidly heated and so accelerated toward the substrate. Once it reaches the surface it begins to chill, forming a tough coating on the component surface. The high temperatures concerned in plasma coating that permit the use of high freezing point material ceramics and different materials.

5. High-Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) Metalizing Gun

High-Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) coating is a metalizing method that is used to improve or restore a component’s surface properties or dimensions, therefore extending instrumentation life by considerably increasing erosion and wear resistance and corrosion protection. Molten or semi-molten materials area unit sprayed onto the surface by the heat(high temp.), the high-speed gas stream, manufacturing a dense spray coating which may be ground to an awfully high surface end.

The utilization of the HVOF coating technique permits the appliance of coating materials like metals, alloys, and ceramics to supply a coating of outstanding hardness, outstanding adhesion to the substrate material, and giving strong wear resistance and corrosion security.

Advantage of Metalizing Gun Coating

  • Reduced Cost: The repairing cost of the component is less than buying a replacement one. After applying the first material coating it lasts longer.
  • Low Heat Input: Among some exemptions, the thermal spray coating process drops the component's thermal past alone.
  • Versatility: Almost any metal, ceramic, or plastic is often thermally sprayed easily.
  • Thickness Range: Depending on the feed material and thermal spray system, coatings are often sprayed from 0.001 to quite 1-inch thick. The thickness of the coating layer ranges from 0.005-0.1 inches.
  • Processing Speed: The spray rates range from 3-60 lb/hr counting on the feed material and therefore the thermal spray coating system. Typical rates for material application are 1/2-2 lb of feed material per square foot per 0.01-inch thickness.
