Thermal Spray Gun Manufacturer in India

Sand blast is a leading thermal spray gun manufacturer in India and provides thermal spray coating solutions in industries.  In a thermal spray gun, a combination of film coating methods in which finely distributed metallic or nonmetallic metalizing wire, and powder is collected in a molten or semi-molten state to form a coating layer. Elements used in thermal spray coating may be in the form of powder, ceramic rods, wire, or molten materials. We are a thermal spray gun manufacturer in India, provide thermal spray gun price very low with the best quality as compared to other thermal spray gun manufacturers in India.

In a thermal spray gun process heating and melting a feedstock material, usually within the sort of metalizing powder or metalizing wire before accelerating it to a high velocity then allowing the particles to strike the component surface. In thermal spray coatings, the metal grain structure resulting from the rapid solidification of small globule particles that are flattened on a surface from striking at high velocities. A thick coating layer is made when many particles are deposited on top of every other. These molten droplets are mechanical or metallurgical attached to the substrate. There are different types of thermal spray guns available by which different coating of certain materials can be coated on the parts. Thermal spray coating provided with metalizing wire, alloy metalizing wire, aluminium wire, zinc wire, and many more. Before thermal spray coating, it is required to do blasting on components. For blasting sand blasting machine, shot blasting machine, grit blasting machine, is used with blasting media like steel shots, glass beads, copper slag, steel grit, etc.

Types of Thermal Spray Gun

  • Wire flame spray gun
  • Powder flame spray gun
  • Electric arc spray gun
  • Plasma arc spray coating
  • High-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spray gun

1. Wire Flame Spray Gun

Wire Flame spray gun is a type of thermal spray gun that uses flammable gases oxygen-acetylene gas as a heat source for melting the wire (coating material). For atomizing and propelling the molten material to the workpiece, compressed air is used. The method of flame spraying on the substrate surface using wire is known as metalizing wire spray or wire flame spray.

2. Powder Flame Spray Gun

The powder flame spray gun is a spray technique that uses self-flux alloys in powder form and oxygen-acetylene uses as a heat source. Self-flux alloys involve alloys having a low melting point. After the powder flame spray gun process coating reaches the specified thickness. Fusing treatments are applied to hide open pores and forms a thick coating layer with the surface, which provides high adhesiveness. In the process of fusing and hardening, the thermal spray coating puts a solid layer of borides and carbide, which combines excellent wear resistance. Thermal spray gun coating provides outstanding resistance to corrosion of most chemical solutions, erosion and cavitation erosion, and hot hardness characteristics.

3. Electric Arc Spray Gun

In the electric arc spray gun, two metal wires are used with an electric power source to melt the feeding wire with short-circuited arc, then the molten metals fine-grained are sprayed onto the themes with compressed gas. Electric arc spray and flame spray process with metalizing wire of different types jointly known as wire thermal spray gun process. The arc spray gun is a more effective and fast process of thermal spray coating as compared with a flame spray gun.

4. Plasma Arc Spray Gun

The plasma arc spray gun coating is a thermal spray technique in which melted or semi-molten material impinges on the equipment surface to make a tough and thick coating that provides resistance against oxidization and corrosion wear caused by environmental and operative conditions. The coatings done with plasma arc spray guns are dense and powerful. Plasma spray coating is a high-temperature method in which injecting fine coating material into a plasma flame. Once it reaches the part surface it begins to chill, forming a thick coating on the substrate. Due to high temperatures concerned in plasma arc spray guns permit the use of ceramics and different materials that have a high freezing point.

5. High-Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) Spray Gun

High-Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) spray gun is a thermal spraying technique that is used to improve or restore a component’s surface properties & dimensions. This coating extending instrument's life by considerably increased resistance to erosion, wear, and corrosion. Molten or semi-molten materials are sprayed onto the pieces of equipment by the high temperature of the high-speed gas stream, manufacture dense spray coating layers. The utilization of the HVOF spray gun coating technique permits the use of coating materials like metals, alloys, and ceramics to supply outstanding hard coating, outstanding coating adhesion to the substrate, and strong resistance to wear and corrosion.

Thermal Spray Gun Advantages

  • Reduced Cost:- Thermal spray gun reduces the repairing cost of the components. Often, the thermal spray coating actually lasts longer than the first material used.
  • Low Heat Input:- The thermal spray gun coating process drops the component’s thermal past alone, among some exemptions also.
  • Versatility:- Almost any type of metal, non-metal, ceramic, or plastic is often sprayed for coating.
  • Thickness Range:- In thermal spraying the coating thickness range is varied and depending on the fabric and spray system.
  • Processing Speed:- On the fabric, the spray rates range from 3-60 lb/hr counting and therefore the spray system. Typical rates for material application are 1/2 -2 lb of fabric per square foot per 0.01" thickness.

Industrial Uses of Thermal Spray Gun

  • Automobile Industry.
  • Aroma Industry.
  • Glass Industry.
