Mushroom valve used in portable sand blasting machine. The part of the sandblasting hopper is forced up and seals the pressure vessel when compressed gas is directed into the pressure vessel. When the abrasive media blaster is depressurized, the mushroom valve is falling backtrack, allowing abrasive media to be poured in. The mushroom valve is also known as a pop-up valve. A decrease in blast pressure could mean the mushroom valve is not sealing correctly and pressure is escaping from the blasting pot.
The mushroom valve depends on the size and capacity of the tank of the sandblasting machine or grit blasting machine. If the capacity tank is big then the size mushroom valve is also increased according to the capacitor of the abrasive tank the mushroom valve can take. The mushroom valve is used in all types of portable sand blasting machines. If the mushroom valve is not fitted in the sand blasting machine the air which comes from the air compressor in the blasting machine is licked and the blasting machine did not work properly.
When the mushroom valve correctly located and pressurized the hopper, blasting is done properly using a sandblasting nozzle. Mushroom valves mostly made of aluminium and mild steel. For small sand blasting machine, and grit blasting machine aluminium mushroom valve is used, and for large size sand blasting machine, grit blasting machine mild steel mushroom valve is used.
